Growing Opportunities is a social business in need of community customers to sustain itself long into the future. Our hydroponic system provides a reliable harvest from week to week. Our greenhouse space ensures that this harvest will thrive year-round.
If your business is interested in ordering from us, please complete this short survey.

We grow the following varieties:
  • Nufar Basil
  • Bibb Butterhead Lettuce
  • Monte Carlo Romaine
  • Arugula
  • Winter Salad Mix
  • Spring Salad Mix

At this time, we only sell to wholesale buyers by the case. Individual customers can support our program by buying our products at those places. Our products can usually be found at these loyal customers' businesses:
  • Bloomingfoods East & Near West
  • The Peoples Market
  • Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
  • Monroe County Grower Association Wednesday Market
  • Directly from our greenhouse by contacting us

Donation Information

In these difficult economic times, we need your help more than ever to help turn our vision into reality.

South Central Community Action Program can't do it alone; we rely on countless people like you who envision a better, more prosperous community where families can thrive - because it's the little contributions that make the big impact on our success. Your contribution to the South Central Community Action Program will help strengthen our community by helping individuals and families who need help the most.

Donations from generous individuals and corporate partners provide us with the resources to help low-income individuals and families improve their lives and make our community a better place to live. Please consider donating funds to help us continue this important work.

Make a Donation

Besides making a direct monetary donation, there are other ways you can financially support our efforts! South Central Community Action Program is available as a beneficiary through AmazonSmile and Kroger community rewards. If you shop at either Amazon.com or at Kroger grocery stores, you can connect your customer account to SCCAP, and every time you shop, those companies will donate to our agency at no extra cost to you!

If you have any questions concerning donations to South Central Community Action Program, please contact Jessie Yeary, Director of Communications and Development, at 812-339-3447 ext 207.
