First Financial Bank recently awarded SCCAP with two grants to support our programming. They have given us $7,500 to support our Transportation Matched Savings Accounts also known as the Martin Fund. This project is through our Thriving Connections(TC) initiative. Our TC participants can receive up to a $1,200 match towards their transportation savings account. This project has already helped our families purchased used vehicles and we are excited to see it grow next year because of the generous support of First Financial Bank. We also were awarded a $5,500 grant towards our Sustainable Employment initiative. We know that finding a job that will be sustainable for our participants and their families is a struggle. We are eager to continue workshopping with not only our participants, but community members on how to find, evaluate, and maintain what sustainable employment looks like for them.
