Weatherization Manager

We are currently seeking a Weatherization Manager.

The Weatherization Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire Weatherization program in four counties and is responsible for supervising the rehabilitation and weatherization of low-income homes. The Weatherization Manager ensures that the work performed on client’s homes is in compliance with all Federal, State and Agency regulations and guidelines pertaining to weatherization program. SCCAP is looking for candidates who have strong leadership skills and a passion for the mission.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by three to five years previous experience in carpentry, construction, contracting, home rehabilitation, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. In addition, has a basic knowledge of heating systems and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Director of Communications and Development

We are currently seeking a Director of Communications and Development for South Central Community Action Program.

The Director of Communications and Development will provide strategic direction, oversight, and coordination for communications and development to sustain and expand the resources and visibility of SCCAP. Furthermore this position will identify SCCAP needs, research grant/funding opportunities, prepare, submit, and monitor grant applications for the purpose of increasing revenue to existing and future programs, and initiatives. This position will coordinate and engage in public speaking events to the media and public, create news releases, newsletters, op-eds, and outreach material, along with coordinating special events. We are looking for applicants who have experience in grant writing and a passion for our mission.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Non-profit Management, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism, English, or related field plus three to five years relevant work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.

Lead Teacher

We are currently seeking a Lead Teacher for our Head Start program.

The Lead Teacher plans and implements weekly and ongoing developmentally appropriate plans for a group of infants to toddlers with individualized considerations for each child in a classroom setting. Additionally, this position acts as a resource, advisor, and advocate for the parents in the areas of child development, health, education, and community resources.

Requirements: Early Childhood Education Associate Degree, Early Childhood Education B.A./B.S. or a Bachelor’s or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education.
