Family Advocate

We are currently looking for a Family Advocate for our Head Start program.

The Family Advocate assists the Family Services staff with intakes, recruitment, attendance/food service record keeping, and provides assistance to the Family Services Coordinator to insure that the component and program meet federal and local standards.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency and within 18 months of hire obtain a credential or certification in social work, human services, counseling or a related field. Skilled in the use of computers for email, creation, and manipulation of databases, and Microsoft Office. Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within 60 days of hiring.

PrograM Specialist

We are currently looking for Program Specialists for our Brown County as well as our Owen County offices.

The Program Specialist is responsible for the daily operations of the Owen County branch office serving low-income residents including the assessing of needs of the low-income community and assisting in the design of programs to address those needs. Ensures complete compliance in all programs administered in their counties to Federal, State, and Agency regulations and guidelines.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED;supplemented by one to two years previous experience in casework, counseling, social service managing, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Health Specialist

We are currently looking for a Health Specialist.

The Health Specialist is responsible for assisting in the facilitation and delivery of health and nutrition services in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, State Licensing, and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations, and local grant goals and objectives. This position assists the health services component in carrying out component and program goals and objectives in the areas of health, mental health and nutrition services to children, families and staff.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED plus 3-5 years experience in a health, medical records, or nutrition related field, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Skilled in the use of computers for email, creation, and manipulation of databases and Microsoft Office.

WEatherization Auditor

We are currently looking for a Weatherization Auditor.

The Weatherization Auditor is responsible for supervising the rehabilitation and weatherization of homes in low-income housing and being the quality control inspector of weatherization home projects. Ensures all clients and the work performed are in compliance with all Federal, State, and Agency regulations and guidelines pertaining to weatherization program.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by three to five years previous experience in carpentry, construction, contracting, home rehabilitation, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Working knowledge of natural gas, LP gas, fuel oil, and electric heating systems and of all codes applicable to HVAC system and installations. Utilize departmental software including PRISM, Roeing, Crystal Reports, CAD, and other specialized software. Skilled in the use of computers for email, creation, and manipulation of Windows, Databases, and Microsoft Office.
